"Three Friends, One Reality Check, and a Dash of Love"
Aisha, Ankita, and I - Sitara - were the inseparable trio that once believed we could conquer the world. Our university days were filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and dreams of success. We thought we were invincible, that our wishes were just a grasp away.
But life had other plans!!!
As we stepped into the real world, our perspectives shattered like fragile glass. Aisha, a brilliant law graduate, struggled to find a job in any reputable law firm. Experience, they said, was key. So, she took a detour and found herself amidst colorful canvases and artistic expression, working at an art gallery.
Ankita, our sports star, traded her athletic gear for spreadsheets and accounting books. Her passion for numbers now fueled her 9-5 job, a far cry from the thrill of the playing field.
And then there was me, Hiee! Myself Sitara - an engineer by degree, but a blogger by circumstance. Wo kehte h na sirf "Sitara" naam rakhne se kismat nhi jagmaga jaati, hn hn whi aage suno! Who would have thought that a mind wired for circuits and codes would find solace in words? Yet, here I am, penning stories for an economic house, my keyboard my new workspace.
That's where I met him - "Mr. Sidharth" guys stop smiling he's my boss, my enigmatic boss. Chiseled features, piercing gaze, and a smile that could disarm even the most skeptical of hearts. He was the epitome of success, and I, just a small cog in his publishing empire.
Our first encounter was rocky, to say the least. I was late, and he was not pleased. But as our working relationship grew, so did our banter. He'd critique my writing, pushing me to improve. I'd retort with witty remarks, keeping him on his toes.
One fateful evening, while working late, Mr. Sidharth revealed his hidden vulnerable side. His struggles, his passions, and his dreams. I listened, entranced. For the first time, I saw beyond the boss - I saw the man.
As the days turned into weeks, our connection deepened. We'd steal glances, exchange knowing smiles, and engage in intellectual debates. The air was electric with tension.
But there was a twist - Mr. Sidharth was already engaged, kaha tha na "Sitara" naam kaafi nhi, but this engagement was a family arrangement that had been set in motion years ago.
My heart sank, yet I couldn't deny the connection we shared. We continued working together, professionalism our shield against the undeniable attraction.
One evening, as I gathered my belongings to leave, Mr. Sidharth called out, "Sitara, your writing has a spark. Don't let it fade." His eyes locked onto mine, and I knew - he felt it too.
The battle between duty and desire raged within him. Would he follow his heart or fulfill his obligations?
As I walked out of the office, the city lights twinkling before me, I realized that life's plans had brought me to this crossroads. Would I settle for a love that was already spoken for, or would I chase my own happily ever after?
Only time would tell! So for now you tell me you wanna know what happens next or should I put a big fullstop right here??? Waiting for your reviews, until then good night readers.
